Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing https://code24.co.za or engaging Code24 for services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services Description

Code24 provides:

• Mobile application development (Android, iOS via Flutter)
• Web development and design
• API and backend development
• Domain registration and hosting services
• App maintenance and support

All services are subject to availability and our current capacity.

3. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes provided are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices are fixed based on the agreed scope. Additional features or changes outside the original scope may incur extra charges.

4. Payment Terms

• A 50% deposit is required to begin work
• The remaining 50% is due upon project completion and before final delivery
• For projects over R50,000, payment may be split into 3 milestones
• Monthly care plans are billed in advance
• All payments are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise agreed

5. Project Timeline

Delivery timelines are estimates based on the agreed scope. Delays caused by client feedback, content delays, or third-party dependencies may extend timelines. We will communicate any changes promptly.

6. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment:

• You own the full source code, designs, and assets we create for your project
• We retain the right to use generic components, libraries, and frameworks in other projects
• We may showcase your project in our portfolio unless you request otherwise (NDA clients excluded)

7. Revisions and Changes

• Two rounds of design revisions are included in every project
• Additional revisions may be charged at our standard hourly rate
• Major scope changes after development begins will be quoted separately

8. Cancellation and Refunds

• Cancellations within 48 hours of payment receive a full refund
• Cancellations after work has begun receive a partial refund based on work completed
• No refunds after final delivery and source code handover

9. Warranties and Liability

We warrant that our work will be performed professionally and in accordance with industry standards. However:

• We are not liable for third-party service failures (hosting, payment gateways, app stores)
• We are not responsible for data loss caused by client actions or third-party breaches
• Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service

10. Confidentiality and NDAs

We sign NDAs upon request. We agree not to disclose your proprietary information, business model, or app concept to third parties. We also agree not to build competing apps for clients in your exact niche.

11. Support and Maintenance

Post-launch support is provided as follows:

• Included support period: 14–180 days depending on your plan
• Ongoing care plans available from R1,500/month
• Bug fixes for code we wrote are covered during the support period
• Third-party plugin or API issues are not covered

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Johannesburg.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
